This machine comprises a support chassis 2 pulled by a tractor. At the front of the chassis 2 are provided blades 41 capable of breaking into pieces the varech or the like deposited on the sand and a blade 30 capable of engaging in the sand to a specific depth. The sand is gathered with the aid of a conveyor 12 and is swept by the screening blades 13 of the latter over a screening platform extending below the conveyor 12 parallel to the latter. The sand passes through the screening platform, leaving the debris which is discharged via a collecting bucket 20. <IMAGE>
