The device makes it possible to work with samples at specific depths for bacteriological or chemical analysis. It consists of a flask 1, a pierced stopper 2, and a diaphragm 3 which is placed between the neck and the stopper and which has small tears in it. All these are positioned by the "self-clamping" system 5 on the support 4, which itself incorporates a mechanism for tearing the diaphragm 3 during sampling. A telescopic tube 6 allows the whole system to be immersed. A cable 7 passes through the interior of the tube 6 and is used for the remote manipulation of a mechanism consisting of a piston 9 of a special shape acting on the pin 10. The system is returned by springs 11 and 12 when the cable is released. Application especially to the sampling of water in swimming pools or in public services. <IMAGE>
