The subject of the invention is a device of the type described in the main patent and comprising a means 1 of bringing parcels 71a, 71b to be stacked onto a pallet 3a, 3b or similar, a table 7 for transferring the said parcels from the bringing means onto the pallet, the said table comprising drive rollers 9a, 9b and lateral transfer forks 20, the said device being characterised in that it furthermore comprises means 73 for separating, by disengaging a portion 9a of the said rollers, the parcels into two sections 71a, 71b for the purpose of the simultaneous transfer of the latter onto two separate pallets 3a, 3b.
