The laser probe (2) according to the invention possesses an elongate, flexible, outer tube (10) and a laser light guide (13) which is inserted into the outer tube (10). The laser light guide (13) delimits, together with the inner surface of the outer tube (10), a flow path (17) for a gas. The outer tube (10) comprises a first outer tube part (14) which is introduced in the insertion channel (12) of an endoscope (11). Furthermore, the outer tube (10) possesses a second outer tube part (15) which is located between the first outer tube part (14) and the lower end of the outer tube (10) and is not introduced in the insertion channel (12) of the endoscope (11). The first outer tube part (14) has an outer diameter (d1) which is smaller than the inner diameter (d0) of the insertion channel (12). The second outer tube part (15) has an inner diameter (D2) which is larger than the outer diameter (d1) of the first outer tube part (14). <IMAGE>
