In order to permit dry smoking even with repeated use, and to prevent a burning sensation on the tongue, a tobacco pipe which has a pipe bowl and mouthpiece, the pipe bowl having a smoke chamber and the pipe bowl and the mouthpiece having a common smoke duct which opens into the smoke chamber at one end and the mouthpiece aperture at the other end, is characterised in that the pipe bowl (1) has a plurality of air ducts (5) arranged at least partially around the smoke chamber (3) which terminate at one end in the region (7) of the open end of the smoke chamber and at the other end in the region (6) of the end of the smoke chamber connected to the smoke duct, at the outer circumference of the pipe bowl. <IMAGE>
