The invention starts with moulds of this type in which the beads disposed in the stator shell are shaped by introducing the elastomer at abutments within the mould. In order to avoid the elastomer material being able to pass between the shell material and mould interior wall, a groove to receive the shell ends and/or seals for contact with the shell ends are provided by the invention in the mould cavity in the cover and base region, grooves preferably being provided in which sealing elements are inserted. Shell elements are expediently used here which have a longitudinal overdimension and are to be brought to the final dimension by grinding or the like after the shaping.
