Non-rotatable thread-cutting head, in particular for automatic machines provided with turret heads, comprising a thread-cutting system with tools which are mounted on eccentric shafts and can be engaged and disengaged by means of the latter, a housing with assigned mounting, a clutch system between housing and thread-cutting system and a stop. A coupling sleeve which can be displaced axially by the stop and is connected via the disengageable clutch system to the housing is provided. Furthermore, the coupling sleeve can be swivelled by a loading weight and consequently the eccentric shafts can be turned into the disengaging position and engaging position. The housing and the mounting are non-rotatably connected to each other. A restoring spring is arranged between the coupling sleeve with set collar and the housing. <IMAGE>
