PURPOSE:To attain quick and accurate fault information without provision of an exclusive line by closing a line between a slave station exchange and a maintennace center through a public line automatically through the detection of a fault when it occurs in the slave station exchange. CONSTITUTION:A means 23 of the slave station exchange 2 detects a fault generated in the exchange 2 and a means 34 of a fault information transmitter 3 acquires the public line L1 of a public telephone line network 1. Means 31a, 33, Di gives a dial automatically to the maintenance center via the line L1 and when the maintenance center responds, means 31a, 35a transmit sequentially and automatically the information representing the contents of the fault and an identification number of the exchange 2. Then the maintenance center is provided with a means 4, which receives the information transmitted from the exchange 2 and displays it. |
