<p>A plant for biological waste water purification by nitrification and denitrification is designed to have a tank (1) essentially circular in plan view and an aeration bridge (3) moving round the tank centre (2). The aeration bridge (3) carries, on the one side, a drive in the form of a circulation unit (4) having a motor (5), agitator shaft (6) and agitator elements (7) perpendicular to this and, on the other side, an aeration device (8) having a multiplicity of air outlet tubes (10) distributed over the length of the aeration bridge (3) and operating in the vicinity of the tank bottom (9). The aeration device (8), in the direction of rotation, is arranged behind the circulation unit (4) attached to the outer half of the aeration bridge (3) and behind the aeration bridge (3). In such a plant, a particularly simple construction of the apparatus which, in addition, further improves the purification efficiency, is achieved if the motor (5), which is designed as a submersible motor, of the circulation unit (4) is arranged directly in front of the agitator elements (7) and the agitator shaft (6) is arranged perpendicularly to the aeration bridge (3) and horizontally. <IMAGE></p> |
