Arrangement is intended for controlling operation of the blowers which transfer the weft yarn inserted by a main blower through the shed of an air jet weaving loom, the leading yarn end being detected by a sensor and stretched by a stretch blower. - One or more transfer blowers near the side away from the insert side are connected, via a control valve, to a separate pressure vessel which is preferably held at a pressure different from that in the common vessel serving the other transfer blowers.
