In a method for supporting rise headings when using a rise-heading machine, preferably an explosive-charging arrangement, the invention, with the use of the conveyor troughs, adjoining the transverse conveyor of the rise-heading machine and laid parallel to the working faces, as a track for one wagon drill each, provides for the support work, consisting of the drilling of anchor bore holes orientated at an angle to the perpendicular to the stratification in the roof and of the subsequent setting of rock anchors, to be carried out in one half each of the rise-heading width with one of the advanced wagon drills and with both wagon drills at the same time, which are moved back on the track during the winning until the loading work is complete and are kept ready together with portals bridging the track as well as with aligned drilling arms and inserted booms and cradles.
