PURPOSE:To make spherical plates more compact and to reduce installation cost by constucting a flow rate regulating valve for powder of two spherical plates and convering stage-shaped notch of throat with falling preventing plate thus enabling prevention of falling of feed for a blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:The flow rate of the powder is regulated by the flow rate regulating valve 7 provided to the bottom end of a throat 15 at the bottom of a hopper 2B. Falling of the feed is prevented by falling preventing plates 26, 27 provided to cover stage-shaped notch 30 at both sides below the throat 15. The valve 7 is constituted of a valve body having two spherical plates 8A, 8B, and almost triangular or semicircular notches are provided to the spherical plates 8A, 8B. The plates are turned around a same shaft 9 to vary the area of the opening part. |
