The cannon system is mounted on a carriage adjacent a single barrel weapon. It includes a central unit, auxiliary and peripheral appts. The latter serves a mount and an ammunition magazine. The central unit has a barrel with a breech with two gas extraction bores passing through one wall. A loader accommodated in a rear part of the weapon housing has a drive for a front sprocket in the breech. An ammunition feed device is enclosed by a housing bearing on a mounting of the weapon housing.
