The invention relates to a process for the production of a plastic bottle which has a horizontal and smooth surface on the upper part around a pouring opening. In particular the invention is directed towards a process for the production of a bottle in which a prefabricated cylindrical bottle body is inserted into an injection mould having a mould cavity, core pieces, at least one split moulding tool and the like, and a neck part of the bottle and a shoulder region of said bottle which is contiguous with the neck part are integrally moulded onto the upper end of the bottle body, the invention providing for a wall constriction or undercut to be formed in the lower joining region of the neck or in the shoulder region contiguous therewith for the integral injection moulding of the neck of the bottle and the shoulder region contiguous therewith, and for a runner for the injection of a plastic resin and an injection aperture contiguous therewith to be arranged laterally on the outer circumference of the bottle neck. |
