In a massaging machine having massaging balls (13) which can be driven for massage operation, the following facts result in universal applicability: that a screw-shaft (6) is provided which is driveable in the positive and the negative direction by means of a first motor (7), that the motor (7) is reversible with respect to its direction of rotation and can be selectively adjusted to continuous or stepwise operation, that a lifting plate (11) which is in threaded engagement with the screw-shaft (6) and can be selectively driven by the latter continuously or stepwise in the lifting or lowering direction and on which a pair of massaging balls (13) are accommodated, is provided, that an automatic switching device (43) for reversing the direction of movement of the lifting plate (11) at the starting and end points of its upward and downward movement is provided, and that a drive device (14) allocated to the massaging balls (13) and accommodated on the lifting plate (11) is provided which has two drive shafts (16 and 17, respectively) which can alternatively be driven by a second motor (18) which is reversible in respect of its direction of rotation (3), the two drive shafts being in drive connection with a receiving bracket (12) for the massaging balls (13) mounted on the lifting plate (11), as a result of which the massaging balls can be driven in different ways each assigned to a particular type of massaging in the positive or negative direction of rotation of the reversible motor (18). <IMAGE>
