The invention relates to a mounting rail for flat heaters, consisting of an outer U-rail having bent-over longitudinal rims and an inner U-rail (2) guided therein in a longitudinally displaceable fashion. A receptor component for receiving, in a suspended manner, a flat heater and which can be adjusted in accordance with the desired wall spacing is provided on the upper end of the outer U-rail. The inner U-rail (2) has on its lower end a spacer (14) for the flat heater, which can be adjusted by means of a thread and is guided in a displaceable manner by means of friction in a longitudinal recess of the inner U-rail (2). The spacer (14), which consists of plastic, has a guide attachment (15) for a slide (16) which accommodates in a recess (19) the head (18) of a setting screw (17), which can be operated by means of a standard screwdriver and is seated with its thread in a block (20) of the guide attachment (15). Located on the slide (16) is a stop (22) for the heater, and directly thereon a receptacle (30) for convection fins of the heater. Provided therebefore are further receptacles (32, 34) for a welded rim of a heater without convection fins. <IMAGE>
