PURPOSE:To obtain at high magnification rate sheetlike foamed substance having a structure of uniform, fine and independent foams by a method wherein foaming agent and organic perioxide are mixed with specific block polyether ester and heated to be cross-linked to the extent that its fluidity is not lost and made to foam. CONSTITUTION:With block polyetherester of meltings point 100-200 deg.C consisting mainly of, (A) butylene terephthalate unit and poly (alkylene oxide) glycol unit [e.g.: poly (tetramethylene oxide) glycol etc.] is mixed and heated, (B)foaming agent (e.g.; azodicarbonamide, etc.), and (C) the organic peroxide (e.g.; methyl ether ketone peroxide, etc.) which cross-links A component at decomposing temperatures lower than that of B component, C component is decomposed and crosslinkage is generated to A component to the extent that it does not lose fluidity and then B component is decomposed into gas and expanded to manufacture the captioned foamed substance. |
