PURPOSE:To enable the titled machine to check individually cycles of maintenance with a computer by comparing the numerical value stored in accordance with the maintenance cycle and the counted values of maintenance counters which operate at every prescribed mechanical operation for each of plural maintenance items. CONSTITUTION:A maintenance cycle change switch 96 to be used when a mode for changing the set value of maintenance counters, a code display key 97 which requires the display of maintenance item codes A-F and a reset key 95 for resetting the maintenance counters attaining the set value to zero at the point of the time when the maintenance operation ends are provided in a copying machine. When a power source is turned on to the copying machine, the process in a CPU201 is started and the maintenance counters CT-A-CT-F corresponding to respective maintenance items are reset and the set values for the respective maintenance counters are set at predetermined values. |
