PURPOSE:To obtain a secondary battery having long cycle life by containing substances having higher oxidation-reduction potential then doping potential of positive electrode in electrolyte of secondary battery using polymer having conjugated double bond in positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:Substance whose electrode potential is higher than doping potential and lower than potential at which irreversible reaction occurs is added to electrolyte of a secondary battery using polymer having conjugated double bond in positive electrode. An iodine compound is best as additive. By adding this substance, overdischarge is prevented without any adverse effect and cycle life of the battery is increased. |
