PURPOSE:To obtain a secondary battery having long life by arranging a metal electrode apart from positive and negative electrodes in a polymer battery and forming a circuit by which positive electrode and negative electrode are separately discharged. CONSTITUTION:A battery 1 uses polyacetylene in a positive electrode 1 and a negative electrode 3, and acetonitrile solution of (C2H5)4NBF4 as electrolyte. A platinum wire 4 is arranged in the battery 1 to form a circuit by which positive electrode and platinum wire, and negative electrode and platinum wire are separately discharged. For example, positive electrode and negative electrode are completely discharged once every 10 charge-discharge cycles by using this circuit. Imbalance in doping ratio of positive electrode and negative electrode is suppressed and deterioration of double bond is decreased and charge-discharge cycle life is remarkably increased. |
