PURPOSE:To indicate automatically the position and direction of an original to be set on platen glass by using an underlying sheet movably in one way to the part of a platen cover where the original is retained and providing a sliding member in the direction intersecting therewith. CONSTITUTION:An underlying sheet 2 for retaining an original is laterally movably provided in a cover frame 1 and a sliding plate 3 is provided movably in the depth direction above said sheet. The operator pushes a job set button A4 A3 when the operator desires to take a copy of, for example, the size A3 from an original of the size A4. Then the sheet 2 and the plate 3 move from the home position and indicate the set position for the original of the size A4 on the platen glass. The operator sets the original in said position and when the operator pushes again the butto 4, the sheet 2 and the plate 3 return to a home position. The operator pushes thereupon the copying start button to start copying. |
