PURPOSE:To enable well mixing of a developer for replenishment with the developer separated from a developing sleeve by feeding the developer added with the developer for replenishment to a developer well while the developer is kept pressed by a pressing and guiding member which is elastically displaced. CONSTITUTION:A developer separated from the surface of a developing sleeve 2 by a blade 7 rises on a pressing and guiding member 10 and falls together with the developer replenished from a hopper 8 by a roller 9 into a developer well 4. The member 10 pressed to a contact roller 11 by a spring 12 crushes lightly and disintegrates the developer passing therethrough. The roller 11 having a rough knurling surface oscillates in an arrow direction to mix thoroughly the separated developer and the replenished developer on the member 10 and to feed the same to the well 4. The developer fed into the well is thoroughly mixed with the developer in the well 4 by a rotating body 5 for agitation without forming small lumps. |
