PURPOSE:To prevent offsetting and defective fixing and to obtain stable copies for a long period of time by constituting the release properties of elastic materials coated on the surfaces of core bars in such a way that the release property of a pressing roll is lower than that of a fixing roll and that the release property of a cleaning roll is lower than that of the pressing roll. CONSTITUTION:A thermal fixing roll 1 and a pressing roll 2 are respectively constituted of core bars 4, 7 and heat resistant elastic material layers 5, 8 covering the surface thereof. The release property of the layer 8 is lower than that of the layer 5. The release property of the elastic material layer 10 of a cleaning roll 3 which rotates according to the rotation of the roll 2 is further lower than the release property of the layer 8. Even if the unfixed toner 13 on copying paper 12 sticks partly to the surface of the roll 1, the toner is transferred successively to the rolls of the lower release properties and is removed by the roll 3. Stable copies are thus obtd. while offsetting and defective fixing are prevented and the exchange life of the roll 1 is remarkably extended. |
