<p>PURPOSE:To decrease the packet transfer time by supplying different packets to plural input ports with broadcase signals and at the same time delivering these packets to the same output port at one time. CONSTITUTION:Input buffer parts IB1-IBN are provided to plural input ports I1, I2-IJ-IN respectively to supply packets and store them temporarily. These storages are extracted by means S1-SN. The 1st multiplexers Y1-YN select the means S1-SN and counters CN1-CNN corresponding to the input ports respectively. Decoder circuits D1-DN decode the outputs of the 1st multiplexers and transmit a selection signals to one of corresponding controllers A1-AM. The 2nd multiplexers X1-XM correspond to output ports O1-OM respectively and extract the selected packets. Output buffer parts OB1-OBM store the packets delivered from the 2nd multiplexers and send them to corresponding output ports. These packets are transferred to all outputs when broadcast signals BC1- BCN are supplied.</p> |
