PURPOSE:To enable easy adjustment of corona discharge current and bias value by using a photosensitive (photo)resistor as a resistor for detecting voltage or biasing and adding further a light emitting element which irradiates light thereto. CONSTITUTION:The light emitting intensity of a light emitting element 16 can be adequately changed by adjusting a variable voltage power source 17 and the resistance value of a photosensitive resistor 9A changes with said change. The corona discharge current generated between a corona discharge electrode 11 and a shielding electrode 12 as well as an electrifying layer 13 can be thus adjusted. If the voltage regulating and operating part of the variable DC power source 17 is preliminarily disposed near the outside circumference of the machine, the resistance value of the resistor 9A is easily adjusted and controlled from the outside. The corona discharge current and bias value are thus easily adjusted. |
