UPPER AND LOWER SEGMENTAL DIE TYPE CLOSED FORGING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make the entire part smaller in size and to make speed higher and operation easier by providing a small-diameter hydraulic cylinder in order to close dies and using the hydraulic cylinder and a wedge to lock and precompress the dies. CONSTITUTION:When a slide 9 is risen by a slide lifting cylinder 15, a lower die 7 contacts with an upper die 6 and both form a closed die. The slide 9 is locked if a wedge 13 is pushed laterally by a wedge pushing cylinder 14 and is pushed to the bottom surface of the slide 9. The die 7 is at the same time pressed to the die 6 and receives precompression. An upper punch pushing cylinder 1 operates so that a piston rod 3 pushes an upper punch 4 to a blank material 8. A lower punch piston 12 pushes a lower pinch 10 to the material 8 from below. The material 8 is compressed and is filled in the die cavity by which said material is forged.
