PURPOSE:To operate with smooth torque increase, in a fuel injection engine having suction paths for light and heavy loads, by starting fuel injection of heavy load fuel injection valve under slow acceleration not under quick acceleration. CONSTITUTION:In an engine 1 having suction paths 8, 9 for light load and and heavy load are provided independently at least in the proximity of combustion chamber 2 while provided with fuel injection valves 10, 11 in each suction paths 8, 9, means 22 for detecting accelerated operation is provided. Means 23 for blocking transfer from fuel supply through only light load fuel injection valve 10 to fuel supply through light and heavy load fuel injection valves 10, 11 on the basis of an acceleration detection signal from a detector 22 under engine acceleration is further provided. Consequently, when transfer from light ot heavy load operations is performed under quick acceleration, fuel injection through said valve 11 is blocked and delayed until entering into slow acceleration. |
