PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory frequency characteristic by attaining such a constitution where an objective lens support means supports variably an objective lens in both focusing and tracking direction which are orthogonal to each other. CONSTITUTION:Permanent magnets 20 and 21 magnetized in the same direction of an axis X are attached both end faces of the X axis direction of a lens holder 3. The 1st coil matter 22 and the 2nd coil matter 23 are set opposite to the magnets 20 and 21 with a distance, respectively. These coil matters 22 and 23 are produced by winding focusing coils 26 and 27 and tracking coils 28 and 29 round the yokes 24 and 25 made of magnetic substances as axes X and Y with a 90 deg. angle set between them. The coil matter 22 is attached to a coil holder 30 unified with the bottom plate of a case 15. While the coil matter 23 is attached to a coil holder 31. The magnetic fluxes fed from magnets 20 and 21 pass vertically through the matters 22 and 23, respectively. |
