PURPOSE:To obtain the same information in either of the blind or the persons with normal vision by incorporating a braille embossing device and a character printer and correspondingly displaying a predetermined braille and a corresponding character to a record medium by a key signal. CONSTITUTION:When a typewriter for braille characters is turned ON and a prescribed key is selected and energized as a normal mode, a solenoid 130 for a head section 116 for brailles is driven, a pin 122 is pushed out selectively, and brailles are embossed only in one side row of longitudinal one row of three points. A head is moved in the horizontal direction only by a section corresponding to half a character for the next braille operation, but a head section 118 for characters is driven during the operation of the movement, and a wire 140 is projected selectively and printing is executed. The solenoid 130 is driven again and the pin 122 is pushed out selectively, and the brailles of residual one row are embossed. Accordingly, the titled typewriter is miniaturized and energy consumption is also reduced, and characters and brailles can be displayed in corresponding manner. |
