PURPOSE:To reduce fuel consumption in an air conditioner for a sight-seeing bus or the like by employing a heat pump cycle capable of rotating forward and backward in cooling and heating an inside heat exchanger, an outside heat exchanger arranged in series to the atmosphere and a fan for a sub-engine. CONSTITUTION:When cooling water heat of a main engine 2 is sufficient in heating, the cooling water is sent to a heater core 3 to heat air sent into a bus from an air conditioning fan 6. When the cooling water heat is insufficient, a compressor 9 is activated by a sub-engine 8 to send high temperature high pressure refrigerant gas to an inside heat exchanger 15, heat air in the bus and run a heat pump. Then, a radiator fan 12 is rotated in the direction R1 to flow air in the direction of arrow S3. Similarly in cooling, the sub-engine 8 and the compressor 9 are driven and the radiator fan 12 is driven in the direction R2 to cool high temperature high pressure refrigerant with an outside heat exchanger 14. Thus, fuel consumption is reduced. |
