<p>PURPOSE:To prevent influence of current owing to a crosstalk and to enable input and output of an information signal in short time by providing a pair of substrates which are so formed that the opposed parts of one electrode and the other electrode forms a matrix as a whole. CONSTITUTION:An information writing means 21 for writing image information such as a character, symbol to a liquid crystal panel 22 by changing the liquid phase having a smectic phase to form a dielectric material in the part where one electrode of substrates faces the other electrode by changing electrostatic capacity is provided. More specifically, the electrostatic capacity is different with the picture element in a writing state and the picture element in a non-writing state and therefore the written information is recognized by reading out electrically the difference in the electrostatic capacity, by which output to the external device is made possible and the influence of the current by the crosstalk is prevented. The input and output of the information signal are made possible in short time.</p> |
