PURPOSE:To hold appropriately a disk with a magnetic disk device for an electronic still camera by actuating a pressure device in the first half of a cover action and then starting a separation means in the second half of a cover closing action. CONSTITUTION:When a cover 21 is turned in its closing direction, the lower surface side of the cover 21 is collided with a pressure spring 38. Then a disk holder 25 is pressed down via a disk holder 27 and a spring 34 and the holder 25 is turned downward against a spring 29. Then the hub 28 of a magnetic disk 26a held by the holder 25 is collided with a rotor boss 24. When the cover 21 is turned further in its closing direction, the plane part 30 of the holder 27 presses strongly the hub 28. Then the drive pin 24a of the boss 24 is set into the square hole of the hub 28. When the cover 21 is turned further, the tip of an action bar 31 of the holder 27 is collided. Then the tip part of the holder 27 is turned round a support pin 39 as a center in the direction apart from the hub 28. Then the interlocking state between the holder 27 and the hub 28 is released.
