<p>PURPOSE:To make it so as not to give a feeling of uncomfortableness and/or uneasiness to people aboard as well as not to harm their delux car feeling, by preventing an unusual noise out of a pad nonrotational mechanism from occurring in time of steering wheel operation. CONSTITUTION:A plastic cylindrical cam body 9 is locked to the column side of a boss 5 by a bolt 10. A cam groove 11 is concavely installed on an outer circumferential surface of the cam body 9. Each of driven rollers 22 and 23 attached to the tip of a projection 2 installed in each inner side of engaging rods 20 and 21 is fitted in the cam groove 11 whereby these rollers reciprocate inside this groove. A rubber buffer member is attached to a setting concave part 13 of the cam groove 11, and with inertia in these rollers 22 and 23 at movement, an unusual noise in time of their collisions with an inner wall of the groove 11 is prevented from occurring.</p> |
