NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R<1> is nitrophenyl, or group shown by the formula II; R<4> and R<5> are H, lower alkyl, or R<4> and R<5> form aromatic ring; R<2> is group shown by the formula III; R<6> is H, or COOH; R<7> is H, NO2, CN, halogen, or NR<8>R<9>; R<8> and R<9> are lower alkyl which may have OH; R<3> is polyethylene glycol residue; X is halogen). EXAMPLE:2-( p-Nitrophenyl )-3-{ p-(N,N-diethylamino)phenyl }-5-[p-{hydroxy.poly- (oxy-1,2-ethanediyl)}phenyl]-2H-tetrazolium chloride. USE:A water-soluble reagent useful for determination of a reductive substance, having improved linearity of calibration curve of formed water-soluble formazan. PREPARATION:A reaction product of p-nitrophenylhydrazine and p-R3-substituted benzaldehyde is reacted with a solution of diazotized N,N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine, prepared formazane is oxidized to give the compound of the example. |
