[Also in Divisions C4 and G3] A constant current is maintained through the heating element of a thermoluminescent dosimeter 4 by a series transistor 17. The voltage across the dosimeter is compared with a constant voltage from a potentiometer 18, 19 applied through a diode 25 and the output of transistor 11 amplified by transistors 23, 24 and applied to transistor 17. When the resistance of the dosimeter element reaches a predetermined value its current is cut off to prevent overheating. |
