PURPOSE:To improve the resolution for horizontal luminance without increase in a horizontal picture element number by arranging >=60% of G color picture elements in all the picture elements to each of horizontal row of a color sensor. CONSTITUTION:Three Y picture elements (or G picture elements) are arranged between an R picture element and a B picture element at each horizontal row and the arrangement is shifted right or left by two picture elements in adjacent rows. Signals Y1, Y2, R, B are outputted from a sampling circuit 1, the band of the Y1 signal is limited to 2MHz at an LPF5A and added to the Y2 signal at an adder 7A and the band of the result is limited to 4MHz at an LPF5B. On the other hand, the R, B signals are added to R-1, B-1 signals separated from 1H delay circuits 8a, 8B, the high frequency components RH, BH is limited to 0.5- 1MHz and low frequency components RL, BL are limited to 0.5MHz. The high frequency components and the low frequency components are added at adders 7D, 7E and fed to a signal processing circuit 2 as signals of 1MHz. |
