PURPOSE:To ensure a heat source for refining molten iron in a converter in the following stage while maintaining the temp. of the molten iron and the C content when the molten iron is pretreated, by blowing oxygen and adding a recarburizer at the same time. CONSTITUTION:A dephosphorizer such as soda ash in a storage tank 4 is spouted into molten iron 1 in a molten iron pan 2 together with gaseous N2 from the 1st lance 3. Gaseous O2 is blown from the 2nd lance 7 having a double-tubed structure, a recarburizer such as pulverized coal or coke breeze is fed to the lance 7 with gaseous N2, and they are spouted from spouting holes at both ends of the nozzle 7a in the peripheral direction of the pan 2. By this pretreatment, a heat source for refining the molten iron in a converter in the following stage can be ensured, and the cost of treatment can be reduced. |
