The invention relates to a device for wide-screen colour televideo-projection thus allowing the projection of television pictures arising from any source (video recorder, video camera, television transmission or computer). This device consists of a casing 1, one end of which fits onto the cathode tube 2 of the television. A second casing 3, a support for the optical system according to the invention, consisting at one end of a step lens 4 (Fresnel lens) and at the other end of a square window 5, is made to slide at the other end of the casing 1. The focusing of the picture projected onto wide screen is done by sliding the casing 3 forwards or backwards inside the casing 1 on the axis of the cathode tube 2. A switch 6 fixed on the television enables the scanning of the picture originating from the tube to be reversed so as to get projection the right way round. The device according to the invention is applicable in the audiovisual field and in the field of public or private projection. <IMAGE>
