PURPOSE:To control widely the magnitude and the direction of a stress acting upon a test piece alternately by connecting one plunger chamber of a piston- plunger cylinder device to the inside of a closed vessel and connecting the other plunger chamber to the inside of a vessel-shaped test body. CONSTITUTION:A piston 24 is arranged in a cylinder 22 of a piston-plunger cylinder device 20. The piston 24 has a plungers 25A and 25B, and a pressure fluid is supplied into the cylinder 22 by a servo valve 27, and the piston 24 and plungers 25A and 25B are slided repeatedly in the direction of an arrow C as one body. A plunger sliding chamber 26A of the device 20 is connected to a fluid path 16 provided in a capsule 18 through a pipe 28. A plunger sliding chamber 26B is connected to a fluid path 9 provided in a load shaft 16' through a pipe 30. Thus, the pressure fluid pressured by plungers 25A and 25B acts upon an inside 1A and an outside 1B of a test piece 1 alternately. |
