PURPOSE:To execute a management of a substitute sector for coping with a defective sector without using a mapping device of a logical address and a physical address of a directory, etc., by adding a logical address of a sector to be recorded of a data, in a data to be recorded. CONSTITUTION:An address adding circuit 2 generates an address added data 8 by adding a logical address 6 to an original data 7. A substitute sector address deciding circuit 1 sends out the logical address 6 as a physical address 10 at first. A defective sector deciding circuit 5 checks whether a sector designated by the physical address 10 is recorded already, or has a permanent defect or not, and when it is decided that the sector is a defective sector, an address updating trigger 12 is sent to the substitute sector address deciding circuit 1, and it sends out a substitute sector of the sector designated by the physical address 10 in its time point, as the physical address 10. |
