PURPOSE:To let an optical member having a surface that is high in optical accuracy, by forming a releasing agent having a fluorine-substituted hydrocarbon group and an alkoxysilane group or a halogenated silane group, and treating the releasing agent in the presence of a polyhydric alcohol so that the releasing agent may be bound chemically to a master surface. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a master 2 has an optical surface accuracy desired for molding and is made up of a metal or glass. A releasing layer 3 is formed thereon. The releasing layer 3 is made up of a compound having a fluorine-substituted hydrocarbon group and an alkoxysilane group or a halogenated silane group. A glass substrate 4 is placed firmly on a support member 5, and a small amount of a resin 6 is dropped thereon. When the master 2 is placed on the glass substrate 4, the space between the master 2 and the glass substrate 4 is filled with the resin, which is allowed to solidify to form a resin layer 8. The surface of the thus obtained nonspherical lens, that is, the optical member is very high in accuracy. |
