<p>Line needle bar, which is arranged so that the needle extends across the mouth of a recess in the machine casing through which the garment edge passes, also carries a U-shaped yolk which extends into the recess and on which is mounted a movable cutter blade, so that the needle, the movable cutter blade, and the presser foot can be driven from the same drive mechanism, pref. a rotating eccentric. Line machine can execute curved lines of stitching, and automatically cuts excess material from the edge.</p> |
