PURPOSE:To make it possible to simply alter a printer to either one of an R type and an L type and to attain cost reduction, by making it possible to perform the assembling of a tupe wheel so as to freely change the same to either one of right and left directions while changing over the feed direction of the type wheel by the engagement of gears. CONSTITUTION:When a printer is assembled as an R type, a type wheel 24 is set between seat plates 1, 2 and a gear shaft 19 is attached to an attaching hole 22R for the R type while a cooperation gear 20 is meshed with the outer gear 6B of a main gear 6 and the attachment position of a feed gear 21 is adjusted to bring said gear 21 into engagement with a type gear 26. In the printer assembled into the R type as mentioned above, when a feed pawl 13 sends the main gear 6 to a clockwise direction by the revolution of a revolving lever 12, a main shaft 4 rotates to perform the hand movement of a clock and the cooperation gear 20 and the feed gear 21 are rotated to a counterclockwise direction along with the gear shaft 19. Similarly, the type wheel 24 rotates to a clockwise direction, that is, to a type arranging direction and rightward printing can be performed. |
