PURPOSE:To improve the speed of data transfer by providing a data transfer system with a receiver and a driver on both channel side and input/output controller side, and using the system in a bidirectional way. CONSTITUTION:When a write command is generated, the drivers 12 and 15 at the channel 11 and receivers 22 and 25 at the input/output controller 21 are validated respectively in data transfer. When a read command is generated, the receivers 13 and 14 at the channel 11 and drivers 23 and 24 at the input/output controller 21 are validated in the data transfer. Then, a data bus-out line 31a and a data bus-in line 32a are made usable by the driver and receiver couples in the bidirectional way between the channel 11 and input/output controller 21. Consequently, the data transfer speed is increased almost twice substantially. |
