The invention relates to a device which makes it possible, by the use of appropriate connection pieces, to produce shut-offs with the aid of elastomer blocks, compressed in metal conduits transporting pressurised fluid. The device is set in place with the aid of materials normally used for piercing loaded conduits: valve, flooding chamber and drill, no longer necessary for producing the shut-offs. It is constituted by an assembly comprising a shut-off element 8, screwed onto a shut off-pushing shaft 11 sliding in a plug 9 which can be screwed, placed in a sealed manner on a connection piece 3 by the intermediary of a provisional flange 6. The shut-off element 8 is compressed by screwing the screw until sealing is obtained. A cap 16 prevents any wrong manoeuvre. The device according to the invention is intended for liquid and gaseous fluids, especially natural gas. <IMAGE>
