PURPOSE:To enable the titled apparatus to become compact and to attain the reduction in power consumption, by providing a brake means for temporarily imparting frictional brake to an object to be conveyed during conveying by bringing the high friction part thereof into pressure contact with said object. CONSTITUTION:A brake means 21 is provided between an aligning roller pair 15, 15 and a platen roller 4 and constituted of a friction plate 71 and a brake plate 52 as a press plate contacted with and separated from said friction plate 71. The brake plate 52 is fixed to a shaft 53 by a screw 54 and the shaft 53 is supported by frames 56, 56 through bearings 55, 55. In addition, the shaft 53 is provided so as to be swung to a direction B-B' by a rotary solenoid 58 and the friction plate 71 is molded by a leaf spring 60. When an image is formed, paper Pa (Pb) is supplied from a paper supply cassette 3 or a manual insert tray 17 and sent to the aligning rollers 15, 15 through a paper guide path 23 or 26 and receives positional alignment before sent to the side of the platen roller 4. |
