The invention relates to a method for manufacturing cardboard boxes from a web of material, especially a web of corrugated cardboard, in which the web of material is cut to the dimensions of the desired cardboard box blanks and punched, and the blanks obtained by dividing the web of material are passed to machines for further processing in which, for example, the cardboard box blanks are printed, folded and glued. The object of the invention is to improve handling of the cardboard box blanks after division of the web of material and in particular to make the ordered feed of blanks to machines for further processing more reliable. This object is achieved according to the invention by the insertion of positioning holes, slots, notches or imprints inside the outlines of the later cardboard box blanks in the web of material before and/or after it has been divided into cardboard box blanks, and by the use of such holes, slots, notches or imprints for positioning when the cardboard box blanks are handled. |
