<p>Detergent compns. contain as detergent agent an alkali metal salt or ammonium salt of a compound of formula (where X is S or O; R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are each H or alkyl; R6 is alkyl; and R7 is alkyl which is methyl in at least 40% of the molecules of compd. (I) present in the detergent compn.). The detergents compns. have a high resistance to hardness in water.
