A load-related throttle valve limiting device for a combustion engine with a linkage operated by an accelerator pedal for a swivel arm of the throttle valve acted upon by a return spring. The technical problem lies in controlling the throttle valve in such a way as to ensure that there is always a sufficient vacuum in the intake pipe for good mixture preparation. A pneumatic actuator (diaphragm cylinder 8) is inserted into the linkage as coupling element, on the one hand at the housing (9) and on the other hand at a piston rod (13).
