The invention relates to a nuclear power station having a closed coolant loop and a secondary loop for coupling out the heat, generated in the nuclear power station by means of a high-temperature reactor, for use in process-heat installations. The heat is released by the coolant gas (helium) in a plurality of heat exchangers, which are each subdivided into a high-temperature part and a low-temperature part, to helium circulating in the secondary loop. As is known per se, the high-temperature reactor is arranged in the central cavity of a prestressed concrete pressure vessel and surrounded on all sides by a thermal shield. The He/He heat exchangers are situated in the annulus between the thermal side shield and the cavity wall, to be precise parallel to the high-temperature reactor. Penetrations which are sealed by closure heads and correspond in number to the number of the heat exchanger high-temperature parts are provided in the top slab of the prestressed concrete pressure vessel. They are arranged in each case over such a heat exchanger part and serve the purpose of extending these parts. Moreover, they have installed in them the ventilation fans which are connected downstream of each heat exchanger low-temperature part.
